SAN GABRIEL VALLEY AND THE DROUGHT : Covina May Impose 15% Cut

Share

* Covina water customers will have to cut usage by 15% if a permanent conservation plan is approved by the City Council.

The council gave preliminary approval to the plan last week; a final vote is scheduled July 16. The measure would replace an interim plan which, among other things, limited lawn and landscape watering.

The new plan will require water users to reduce consumption by 15% compared to usage in fiscal 1989-90.
