Grass Is Greener on Other Side of Ocean

I can empathize with Bill Dwyre getting nostalgic about the loss of colorful tennis players such as Jimmy Connors and John McEnroe. I am puzzled, however, when he writes: “McEnroe, once considered a brat, is now an adult.”

An adult by what standards? Age, perhaps? Father of two children? Certainly not by his behavior on Centre Court at Wimbledon, where he cursed out a linesman and whined in self-pity at the umpire.

John, your talent was wonderful to watch. But will you ever get over being a spoiled brat?
