San Marino : 2-Hour Parking Signs OKd

Share

The City Council, responding to residents’ complaints, on Wednesday voted to erect two-hour parking restriction signs on streets around Stoneman School, a special education facility run by Los Angeles County at 1560 Pasqualito Drive.

The signs will be placed on both sides of Granada Avenue from Huntington Drive north about one block, and on the north side of Pasqualito from El Molino Place to Granada.

Residents near the school had complained that they were unable to use the streets for visitor parking because of vehicles parked by school employees and bus riders.

Several months ago, the city spent $1,500 to turn an unused portion of a school playground into a 36-space parking lot, but the problem has persisted, residents said. The signs will be posted in the next few weeks. Violators will pay $10.
