Joplin to Broadway?: It looks like Janis Joplin’s life story will be coming to Broadway, possibly in the 1992-93 season. Sea Lion Films signed a joint venture agreement last week with the late rock star’s sister, Laura Joplin, and Aminta Productions of Denver, the licensee of the Joplin estate, that provides Sea Lion with the show, movie, radio, CD and cassette album rights to the book “Love, Janis,” which Laura Joplin has just completed. Manny Fox, producer of the Broadway hit “Sophisticated Ladies,” will develop the Broadway production.
