A 20-year-old Jamul man was killed early Sunday when his truck flipped over into a ravine along a rural East County road, authorities said.
Justin Christopher Nelson, who lived with his grandparents in the 2600 block of Britton Valley Road, was killed about 12:40 a.m. along Skyline Truck Trail west of Lawson Valley, according to the San Diego County medical examiner’s office.
The truck flipped and landed on its roof, which caved in, officials said. Nelson, who was reportedly wearing his seat belt, died of massive head and chest injuries.
