Philip Morris Cos.: The world’s largest consumer products company said second-quarter earnings jumped 21.6% on buoyant food, cigarette and beverage sales. The New York-based maker of Marlboro cigarettes, Oscar Mayer meats and Miller beer said the gain to $1.15 billion compared to earnings of $948 million a year ago. Revenue rose 15.9% to $14.77 billion.
