Youth in Truck Killed in Shooting on Freeway
A youth was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting as he sat in a pickup truck on the Pasadena Freeway near Dodger Stadium on Wednesday night, Los Angeles police said.
Three other people in the truck in which the unidentified victim was shot were unhurt.
The confrontation involving individuals in two vehicles apparently started on the north edge of Chinatown, continued on the freeway and resulted in the fatal shooting near Stadium Way, police said.
The shooting apparently was gang-related, police said. There were no suspects.
The northbound freeway lanes from downtown to Avenue 26 were closed, resulting in a traffic jam.
