Baldwin Hills : Update on Redevelopment

Share

The Community Redevelopment Agency of Los Angeles will hold a public hearing to give a progress report on the Crenshaw Redevelopment Project on July 25 at 8 a.m. in the Bradley Court area of the Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza, 3650 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

The $100-million redevelopment project was established by the Los Angeles City Council in 1984 to provide economic revitalization in the Crenshaw community through the modernization of the area’s aging regional shopping center. The Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza, an enclosed mall, has more than 100 shops.

The renovation and expansion of the shopping center, which was completed in 1988, was a joint venture of the city and the Alexander Haagen Co.
