Victoria Herazo of Sherman Oaks can feel pretty good about the silver medal she won in the 10-kilometer walk Friday night at UCLA’s Drake Stadium.

And though she lost by more than one minute, it took American and Festival records to beat her.

Herazo placed second to Debbi Lawrence of Kenosha, Wis., in the competition. Lawrence finished in 45 minutes 28.4 seconds to shatter her American and Festival records.
