I was disappointed in NBC’s coverage of the 1991 matches from Wimbledon on Sunday, June 30. Personally, I tune in to watch tennis being played. In the first hour of coverage, NBC actually only showed 17 minutes of play. The rest of the time was devoted to commercials, retrospective coverage of events long past, a “tennis tip” segment, and jocular (but dull) byplay between members of the NBC reporting staff.
