Memorial services for Gary Morrell, 54, play-by-play announcer for the Los Angeles Sharks of the defunct World Hockey Assn. in the early 1970s, will be held today at 3:30 p.m. at Sts. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 20444 Magnolia Ave., Huntington Beach. Morrell died Sunday in Huntington Beach of heart failure.
