Pasadena : Drain Bill to Homeowners
Nearly 250 property owners in the Marlborough housing tract in northern Walnut will begin paying for the maintenance of a local storm drain system in fiscal year 1992-93.
The City Council unanimously approved a plan Wednesday that will transfer the annual cost of the storm drain maintenance, which city officials estimate at $20,000, to 248 property owners. Currently, maintenance costs are covered by the city through its general fund.
City Engineer Ron Kranzer estimated the annual cost to individual property owners will be $80 or less.
