What burns me up is the way "Special Reports" are interrupting regular TV programming. If the break-ins were presented as two-minute headline bulletins with details later on the news programs, there would be no objection, provided the interruption was important. Lately, the special reports seem to be a vehicle for the local stations to show off their newscasters and reporters.
