Pasadena : College Math Team Wins
Pasadena City College’s math team has won first place in the nationwide mathematics contest sponsored by the American Mathematical Assn. of Two-Year Colleges.
More than 80 community colleges and 1,000 students participated in the event, which involved three tests administered locally over five months.
The level of the contest is pre-calculus mathematics. The team members who placed in the top 10 students nationwide are Kevin Hu of Alhambra, who placed sixth, and Trinh Huynh of Rosemead, who placed ninth.
