Tustin Routs Utah in Colt Zone Opener
The Tustin White Sox defeated a team from Park City, Utah, 12-0, Wednesday in the first round of the Colt West Zone tournament in Santa Clara.
Luis Estrella pitched three innings and Erasmo Ramirez pitched two as the White Sox prevailed in a game shortened to five innings by the mercy rule. Estrella had four runs batted in. Derek Baker had three RBIs.
The White Sox play Redondo Beach at 5 p.m. today.
The tournament, which ends Sunday, will decide the West Coast representative for the Colt World Series next week at Purdue University.
