Hugo Perez set up both goals as the United States national team registered its sixth consecutive victory, 2-0, over Sheffield Wednesday, defending English League Cup champions, before 44,261 at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia.

After a scoreless first half, Bruce Murray scored from 12 yards out, and Brian Quinn added a goal eight minutes later.
