Bishop Recall Debate

I found the article “Oceanside’s Vice Mayor at Center of Recall Storm” (July 21) true and well-balanced. As a longtime supporter of Melba Bishop and president of CIVIC, a grass-roots organization that is against the recall, I hasten to say that Oceanside is no different than other cities. Our real problem is politicians, who desperately hold onto office when they are no longer effective in meeting today’s problems. It is hard for them to accept new blood and new ideas. So recall is their out.
