A bank robber gave a teller a note saying “I’ll kill you,” then fled after taking about $1,000 in cash from a Security Pacific Bank, police said Saturday.

The robbery occurred about 9:10 a.m. at the Security Pacific Bank at 5812 Edinger Ave., said Huntington Beach Police Lt. Jeff Cope. The robber fled after putting the cash into a brown grocery bag.

Cope said the robber, who wore a flannel plaid shirt, handed the teller the note and told the teller to “hurry up” and give him all the money. Witnesses said they saw no weapon, Cope said.
