Fuel-Efficient Automobiles

Reading about Honda’s new fuel-efficient Civic (July 31) made me overjoyed and elated. I couldn’t agree more with your editorial.

When are we Americans going to wake up and smell the fumes? The global warming situation is definitely not going to go away by itself.

What does it take for Detroit to manufacture fuel-efficient, environment-friendly automobiles?
