Street Vendors Should Follow the Law
I am glad to see that the city of Glendale is cracking down on unlicensed street vendors (Aug. 1 Glendale Section).
It seems that if these individuals, mainly from Third World countries, wish to make a living here, the least they could do is obey our laws, rather than have a “do as I please” mentality.
The license investigator who was grabbed and shaken by one illegal vendor should have promptly placed the individual under arrest. Cultural diversity is no excuse for battering a city employee in the course of his or her job.
