Bush-Gorbachev Summit Meeting
It is indeed ironic that the very day that Gorbachev persuaded the Communist Party to allow free enterprise and political pluralism was the same day that the last of the original leaders of the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution died (Part A, July 27). Perhaps Marxist/Leninist ideology died with Lazar Kaganovich. May they rest together.
