LIMA, Peru —
A grenade believed to have been fired by leftist guerrillas slammed into the Education Ministry on Wednesday as a deadline for the end of a teachers’ strike passed, police said.
The police said the building was damaged but no one was injured when members of the pro-Cuban Tupac Amaru Revolutionary Movement fired two rifle-propelled grenades from a car at the eighth-floor offices, sparking a fire.
