DANA POINT : Council Approves Scenic Parking Zone
A 15-minute parking zone along Street of the Green Lantern designed to allow motorists to view the Dana Point Harbor was approved by the City Council this week.
The 40-foot-long area, just south of Cannons restaurant between Santa Clara Avenue and Cove Road, has become a problem because motorists double park to take in the view, according to a city staff report. A city survey estimated traffic volume in the area at 2,000 trips per day.
The 15-minute zone will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
