Baby Manatee Pulled Into Power Plant Cooling Pipe

TAMPA, Fla. —
Lowry Park Zoo officials were nursing a baby manatee back to health Thursday after it was accidentally sucked into a seaside utility plant’s cooling water intake pipe. The six-foot, 291-pound manatee was treated for minor scrapes and bruises.
