Price of Gasoline Rises: An increase in motorist demand and higher wholesale prices pushed up the price of gasoline at the pump by more than a cent a gallon the past two weeks, according to an industry survey. The average price for all grades of gasoline at full- and self-service stations rose 1.22 cents to $1.2503 a gallon as of Friday, the Lundberg Survey said. Lundberg checks 13,000 stations nationwide.
