ANAHEIM : Building-Proposal Hearings Scheduled
Public hearings will be held at Tuesday’s City Council meeting on separate proposals to build a medical center, an industrial center and a low-cost apartment complex for seniors.
Kaiser Permanente Health Plan Inc. wants to build a medical center on a 3.3-acre lot at 3030 W. Orange Ave. Kaiser is asking that the city waive its requirement that the center have 1,010 parking spaces. It wants to build fewer than 900.
Bowers Perez Associates is asking that it be allowed to build an industrial sales center on 3.6 acres at 1525 N. Raymond Ave. It wants permission for the center to include such shops as a carpet store, photo lab and wholesale florist.
Centralia School District wants to lease a 3.1-acre lot it owns at 3301 W. Lincoln Blvd. to a contracting firm that wants to build a 135-unit apartment building for seniors. Among its requests, the district is asking for a waiver to the city’s density rule. The district says it will use the income generated by the apartments to build a new elementary school.
The hearings will begin at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 200 S. Anaheim Blvd.
