Center Bill Cartwright signed a three-year contract with the Chicago Bulls on Monday, ensuring that the starting five of the NBA champions will return for the 1991-92 season.

The Bulls reportedly will pay the 34-year-old Cartwright $2.1 million in each of the next two seasons and up to $2.4 million in the third year. Cartwright earned $1.5 million last season.
