Walkers Not to Blame

Regarding the letter “Walking the Wrong Path” on Aug. 17:

I walk at Balboa Park in Encino. The bicyclists should get off their bikes and walk in our shoes. We start a two-mile, fenced-in, circular walking path in the parking lot and are dumped out on the so-called bike path at Balboa Boulevard. If we had wings, we’d fly back to our cars, but there is no other way to return to the parking lot except via the public sidewalks on Balboa Boulevard labeled “Bike Path.”

Blame the planners--not the pedestrians.
