The Texas Rangers activated pitcher Rich Gossage, catcher John Russell and outfielder Jack Daugherty from the 15-day disabled list. Also, the Rangers announced that right-handed pitcher Travis Buckley has been sent to the Montreal Expos to complete the deal that sent brought Oil Can Boyd to Texas. . . . Umpire Rocky Roe missed Sunday’s game between the Oakland Athletics and the Detroit Tigers after being hospitalized overnight with an irregular heartbeat. Roe was discharged Sunday morning.
