San Onofre
The body of an unidentified apparent hit-run victim was found alongside Interstate 5 near the Cristianitos Road exit, north of the San Onofre nuclear power plant.
The San Diego County medical examiner’s office said the victim, found at 7:40 a.m. Monday, was apparently a teen-ager. Police believe he was a pedestrian who was struck by a car.
He was described as a 5-foot-1-inch male, weighing 123 pounds, with short black hair. He was wearing a black, short-sleeve shirt, tan trousers and had a yellow butterfly medallion around his neck.
