BASEBALL DAILY REPORT : ANGELS : Six Players Recalled From Edmonton

The Angels recalled six players, including three pitchers, from their triple-A Edmonton farm team. Shortstop Gary DiSarcina, catcher John Orton, first baseman-outfielder Lee Stevens, right-handed pitcher Scott Lewis and left-handers Cliff Young and Kyle Abbott will meet the Angels at Anaheim Stadium Friday, after the team finishes its trip to Milwaukee and Boston.

The Angels also announced they have signed their second-round draft pick, Jorge Fabregas of the University of Miami, and have 18 of their top 20 picks under contract. The exceptions are Kurt Ehmann, a shortstop from Arizona State, and right-handed pitcher Ken Maire from Eureka High School.
