Ingram Micro Workstation Deal: Ingram Micro Inc. announced that it will begin distributing Hewlett-Packard Co. computer workstations through a recently formed systems sales division. Ingram Micro, based in Santa Ana, will sell Hewlett-Packard 9000 Series 800 workstations to a network of authorized “value-added resellers,” who package a computer with software developed for specific industries. A Hewlett-Packard spokeswoman said Ingram Micro is the third distributor to be signed since June to sell the workstations. The Hewlett-Packard workstations, which are high-powered personal computers, sell for $12,895 and up.
