Mayor Tom Bradley on Friday urged city employees to offer aid to a family that lost five of its members in an arson fire at the Jordan Downs housing project in South-Central Los Angeles, and to a man who was shot while trying to rescue the victims.

Bradley said the Los Angeles Employees Chicano Assn., with the support of the Los Angeles Assn. of Black Personnel, launched the fund-raising campaign with a $500 contribution to the Zuniga family, which lost all of its possessions.

Contributions may be mailed to the Los Angeles Employees Chicano Assn., P.O. Box 541, Main Office, Los Angeles CA 90053. Food and clothing are being accepted at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 10122 Compton Ave., Los Angeles 90002.
