An Older Connors Is Still Childish
Bill Dwyre’s article on Sept. 5 on Jimmy Connors was a real gem. He hit the nail on the head.
Allowing Connors freedom to hurl obscene profanities at the chair umpire is a disgrace to tennis. No other sport would allow this back-alley behavior.
Connors is a great champion, but when proper decorum and good sportsmanship are called for, he is strictly bush league.
