Schwartz Wins Speedway Scratch Main Event

COSTA MESA — Bobby Schwartz of Costa Mesa won the four-lap scratch main event in speedway motorcycle racing Friday night at the Orange County Fairgrounds.
Mike Faria of Colton was second, Shawn McConnell of Brea was third and Alan Christian of Murrieta was fourth.
Brad Oxley of San Juan Capistrano won the eight-lap handicap main event. Christian was second, followed by Louis Kossuth of Brea, Steve Lucero of Riverside and Scott Brant of Riverside.
Robbie Hackman of Redondo Beach won the second-division main, and Randy Fannin of Mira Loma won the third-division main.
