An Indianapolis judge ordered lawyers, police and court personnel involved in boxer Mike Tyson’s rape case not to make public statements that could prejudice a jury at his January trial.
Marion County Superior Court Judge Patricia J. Gifford issued the gag order on a request by Tyson’s attorneys, one of whom said Tyson’s case has joined the Florida rape case of William Kennedy Smith as the most publicized of 1991.
