So, 20 box seats at the Hollywood Bowl are made available for the general public (“Icons,” Aug. 4). The attitude of the management is simple: Let them eat cake. Why is it that the remaining 4,980 box seats are sold in perpetuity? Who owns the Hollywood Bowl anyway? And why are the seats transferable? Who made these rules?
For those of us who would like the opportunity to buy box-seat tickets for specific events, I suggest that all seats be made available for each event so that the Hollywood Bowl experience can be shared with the owners of the Hollywood Bowl: the people of Los Angeles.
