Cardis Sales Down 11%: Cardis Corp., the Buena Park operator of warehouse distribution centers and retail stores, reported a net loss of $960,000, or 9 cents per share, for the first fiscal quarter, compared with a net loss of $1.2 million, or 11 cents a share, for the corresponding three months last year. Sales for the quarter ended July 31 declined 11%, to $19.1 million from $21.5 million. The company attributed the decline in sales to the slow economy and to lower sales in the automotive aftermarket business.
