Transamerica Unit to Relocate: Transamerica Reinsurance Co., a 100-employee subsidiary of Los Angeles-based Transamerica Occidental Life Insurance Co., says it will move its headquarters out of Los Angeles next year. The company has not yet decided where to go, but believes that it will headquarter in the Midwest or Southeast in an effort to get closer to its customers, who are primarily located on the East Coast.
