Reader Finds Fault With Faulk Coverage

I want to make this clear. I’m a dedicated Aztec football fan, one of the few students who actually goes to the Murph. And Marshall Faulk’s rushing record was incredible to watch. But Scott Miller’s coverage of that game was worse than the Aztecs’ pass defense. I did not appreciate Miller’s comment about giving Faulk “priority” registration for classes at SDSU. Students who are forced to delay their graduation one to two years, because of cuts in the number of classes at SDSU, deem this a serious matter.

The hard fact that Miller may or may not realize is SDSU football players already have class priority over the other students. Further, football players enjoy a number of benefits to help them through the SDSU bureaucracy. Considering the tragic class crunch situation now present for most students at SDSU, Miller’s comments were ill-timed at the very least.
