A police dog searching a Cudahy home for drugs Tuesday sniffed out cocaine valued at $4 million hidden in a car parked in the driveway, authorities said.
Deputies armed with a search warrant entered the residence on Fostoria Street about 2 p.m. and found a kilogram (2.2 pounds) of marijuana, officials said.
A police dog continued the search outside and keyed in on the car. Authorities waited for a second search warrant, then found the drug in the car, officials said.
Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Victoria Berenbau said 22 pounds of cocaine with an estimated street value of $4 million were recovered. Four men were booked at the Norwalk sheriff’s station on $2-million bail each.
