Demands on KCET: The Right to Life League of Southern California and a group of conservative pastors on Monday called for KCET Channel 28 to air the anti-abortion film “Eclipse of Reason,” which includes footage of a 16-week-old fetus being torn apart by medical instruments. The demand was made during a press conference called to protest KCET’s Sept. 6 airing of “Stop the Church,” a controversial short film about the AIDS activist group ACT UP. Susan Carpenter-McMillan, spokeswoman for the league, said KCET should show “Eclipse of Reason” to “soothe the ruffled feathers” of viewers who had been offended by “Stop the Church.”
