The problem I see connected with law enforcement is power and control. All law enforcement officers, even for a traffic offense, have the power to intimidate and manipulate you and, yes, even abuse you, with little fear of reprisal.
This unaccountable use of power is rotten, and if you think it exists only here you are mistaken. The same abuse occurs everywhere: Seattle, Chicago, Atlanta, New York--just take a citizen survey. This must be changed at the core.
