Sun-Times Editorial Staff Stays On: Reporters, editors and photographers at the Chicago Sun-Times stayed on the job after authorizing their union, the Newspaper Guild, to strike at any time. The old contract ran out at midnight Monday, but employees remained on the job, and spokesman Dan Lehmann said a strike was not imminent. Negotiations with the Sun-Times broke down over wages earlier Monday, and no new talks are scheduled, Lehmann said.
