They Did: Ice skater Tai Babalonia took on another partner Sunday and married musician Cary Butler at the Park Plaza Hotel. About 400 guests attended the reception, including Jo Jo Starbuck, Richard Dwyer, Joe Williams and Randy Gardner, the skating partner with whom Babalonia won the 1979 World Pair Championship. Babalonia’s cream-colored dress was designed by Jef Billings, who also designs her skating outfits.

* That’s a Print: Think 29 cents is too much to pay for a stamp? Try $151,250. Last week two rare blocks of airmail stamps were sold for $1.21 million in New York. That’s quite a markup considering they sold for 24 cents in 1918, when the United States launched the world’s first airmail delivery. In one block of stamps, the airmail biplane was printed upside down. The other block from the center of the sheet shows crossed printing guidelines engraved between the stamps. The stamps, the most sought-after in the United States, were bought by an anonymous American collector “who is planning to own them and enjoy them.”

* As the Trump Turns: When we last left Donald Trump and Marla Maples, they were Splitsville (again) after he had a roving eye for another woman (again). This time it’s Carolyn Sapp, the reigning Miss America, of whom Trump said (according to Marla, who speaks out again in People magazine): “She’s got a great body!” Meanwhile, in Yakima, Wash., Maples and Michael Bolton were seen holding hands Sunday at the Central Washington State Fair. The two rode The Zipper and ate fried pastry, according to fair manager Greg Stewart. “It was fairly obvious they have a pretty good relationship,” he said.

* Santa Maria Mania: Should your travel plans take you to Columbus, Ohio, Oct. 11, head downtown. A version of the Santa Maria--believed to be the world’s most authentic replica of Columbus’ flagship and made in Syracuse, N.Y.--will be christened. But the real reason to go to Columbus will be Saturday, when the Ohio State University Marching Band takes to the field and forms a Santa Maria during half-time of the OSU-Wisconsin game.
