BE Avionics Nets $4.7 Million in ’91

BE Avionics Inc., the Santa Ana supplier of in-flight entertainment passenger control units, posted net earnings of $4.7 million, or 65 cents per share, for fiscal year 1991 ended July 28. Sales rose 6%, to $24.3 million from $22.9 million.

Last year’s net income of $1.6 million, or 29 cents per share, included an extraordinary loss in the fourth quarter of $723,000 from the prepayment of debt.

Net earnings for the 1991 fourth quarter were $1.1 million, or 15 cents per share, compared to $54,000, or 1 cent per share, in 1990. Sales dropped 11%, to $4.9 million from $5.5 million.
