SAN CLEMENTE : Bids Sought for City Repainting Work
The city is requesting bids for a project to repaint three municipal buildings--the Senior Citizen Center/Orange County Library, the Community Center and the Ole Hanson Beach Club.
City officials say the three buildings, which have not been spruced up since 1982, should cost no more than $60,000 to paint. The bidding process will open on Oct. 22.
The outside of the library and senior center, which are adjoining buildings under one roof, will be repainted for an estimated $30,000. The county will reimburse the city 70%, up to $15,000, for the work because San Clemente maintains the building for the county.
City officials said they would be willing to pay no more than $18,000 to do the outside of the Ole Hanson Beach Club and $12,000 for the inside of the Community Center.
