After a scoreless first half, and after regulation ended in a 1-1 tie, Messiah of Grantham, Pa., broke loose for a 5-1 men’s victory over host Point Loma Nazarene College (1-9). Messiah, ranked No. 8 in NCAA Division III, improved to 10-1-1.

PLNC’s Blake Okland scored the game’s first goal on an assist from Carlos Menezes.

The UC San Diego women’s team got two goals from Cheryl Parker and Karin Lindsay as the No. 3-ranked Tritons (8-0-1) routed Claremont College, 7-1, in La Jolla. Kalyn Shea had three assists. Claremont fell to 5-4-1.
