DANA POINT : Planners to Tour Belcourt Project
The Planning Commission will hold a special meeting today on the proposed residential plan for the Monarch Beach Resort that will include a field trip to a Newport Beach residential site.
The meeting, the fourth in a series of workshops concerning the 232-acre resort, will also include a presentation by the developer. After the presentation, those interested will be invited to tour Belcourt in Newport Beach, a project similar to that proposed for Monarch Beach.
The Monarch Beach Resort, a project of Nippon Shinpan of Japan, calls for a 400-room, five-star hotel and 238 residential units. The plan also includes an extension of the 18-hole Links at Monarch Beach golf course.
The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. in the City Council chambers, 33282 Golden Lantern St., Suite 210. For more information, call (714) 248-3560.
