Americans, led by John Mazza, took all six positions for the finals of the Japan Cup, a bowling competition between the United States and Japan in Tokyo.
Mazza, a winner of three tournaments this year, took a 33-pin lead in the five-game stepladder elimination with 7,710 pins, including 570 bonus pins. Walter Ray Williams Jr., of Stockton, was second.
